Frightened Creative Promises “This Year Will be Different” When Planning Marketing Strategy
A frightened looking creative emerged this morning looking wide eyed, earnestly promising waiting reporters that this time they “really will market themselves regularly”.
When pressed on the matter, the creative assured they would develop a consistent approach to marketing, contacting potential clients on a regular basis and “not just when the work pipeline goes quiet”.
Some reporters claim they promised they would go as far as “picking up the phone” to “call potential clients”.
When probed as to what made 2025 different to previous years, they responded “I dunno I just know I really should”.
Critics have been quick to remind the public of previous announcements from this creative which weren’t limited to the subject of marketing. Failed predictions include “AI is coming for our jobs” and “the dry spell for freelancers is over”.
