Case Study: Animated Explainer Film “Better Together” for Bournemouth University

I love working with agencies, but having moved into full time freelance work I was eager to also apply my expertise across the production pipeline and manage a whole project from start to finish.

Storyboard

The opportunity came up when Professor Raf Nicholson from Bournemouth University approached me to produce an animated explainer film summarising the results of one of her recent research projects.

Three design routes

I handled concepting, storyboarding, design, animation and project management.

Editing voiceover and music to static storyboard style frames

Animation was all done in Adobe After Effects

One highlight was working with voiceover artist Leonie Schliesing, who made the whole process incredibly straight forward.
